Rev. Dr Philip Tse was born and raised in Hong Kong.  He was a civil engineer in Canada and U.S. for years before being called to be a minister of God.  Pastoring in churches in California and Vancouver, he simultaneously obtained a Master of Theology in culture & ministry, a Master of Divinity, a Doctor of Ministry in spiritual care & spirituality, and a Doctor of Education in counselling.

Dr Tse had been an executive in a civil consultant firm in San Francisco, whose work including conflict management and legal cases.  He also ministered among African Americans and Asians, caring and counselling for the sick and disenfranchised in the community.  From 2000 to present, he has been frequently invited by churches in Vancouver as a consultant for management to church administration, difficult situations and conflicts.

Over the past fifteen years, Dr Tse worked as a chaplain at Richmond Hospital, and then a Certified Spiritual Health & Psychospiritual Supervisor-Educator at St Paul Hospital and Fraser Health. Dr Tse is a registered clinical counsellor with BCACC and a clinical fellow of AAMFT(USA) and CMFT(Canada).  He brings over a wealth of life experience, years of spiritual care and counselling experience, and cultural awareness and knowledge that contributes to his counselling.

Dr Tse speaks fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English.  He cares for his clients and specializes in integrating medical Marriage Family Therapy into his clients’ emotional and physical needs, as well as providing advice for the emotional needs of the family members.
